The ecosystem of AMP-compatible components is large and growing every day. These themes and plugins are compatible with AMP “out of the box” and typically require no additional configuration. In addition, there are some themes or plugins that have AMP extensions, along with some AMP components which can enhance your website. For these, we’re excited to share our new Extensions and Mini-Plugins page.
The extensions and mini-plugins listed are independent packages that can be installed using the standard WordPress plugins upload method. Extensions and mini-plugins are currently available for themes including the Eksell, Artpop, and GeneratePress and plugins such as WordFence, Gravity Forms, and LiteSpeed Cache. There are also independent plugins based on AMP components, making it easier to add AMP compatibility for various popular features. We’ll continue to add extensions and mini-plugins for even more plugins and themes in the future.
To install an extension or mini-plugin:
- Go to Extensions and Mini-Plugins
- Click the link for the extension/mini-plugin that you wish to install; all links are to GitHub gists or repositories
- On the GitHub page, click Download ZIP (for gists) or Code > Download ZIP (for repositories)
- In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New and upload the ZIP file
